Year 11 Mathematics NCEA 1

Syllabus

Since 2002.year 11 students have been studying a syllabus which is assessed against achievement standards. This syllabus was part of the National Certificate in Educational Achievement (NCEA).

In mathematics the syllabus for level 1 was divided into nine topics, three of which were internally assessed and six assessed in a single external examination at the end of the year.

From 2011 this structure has changed. The new NCEA 1 syllabus now comprises 13 Achievement Standards made up of three external standards. One common assessment tasks (CAT) and nine internal achievement standards.
